Got a message from Brian the night before saying he was taking his bath tub, sorry canoe and would like to paddle at his own pace so would go on his own. And another one from Mark McGillicuddy saying he had gone down with man flu so Jackie and himself wouldn’t make it.
Woke up to rain on the sky light so though we could be the only ones turning up so after struggling to get Jo up (as usual) we turned up at the club with Mat, Dawn, Neil, Rene + Ben, Simon, Steve, Stuart, Dave…

Taking my Canoe tomorrow, so will make my own way to start (not RLSCC), and paddle at my own speed down the river (not part of group, so can selfishly relax without slowing the group down).

Yeah of course. I'm sure Stuart and co will be interested.
Hi Roger
Would you be willing to organise a local open canoe trip, maybe one Sunday morning? Keeping in mind I've only done 3 sessions in an open so far!
Dawn
Glad Nafford was good. How was the Christmas do?
I see you're not coming on the trip next sunday. I hope Jodi can make it. It'll be a good one to get some confidence back. We'll not do anything as intense as Cardiff on full pelt.
Roger - sorry to be thick but I can't see the dates that you mentioned. I'm not good with the website yet but any pointers would be useful!
I'll bung in some dates (in the right place) for some suitable trips:
Suitable for the beginners trips are the Teme and Rea in the Ludlow area, sections of the middle Wye and Usk. For more advanced trips, I'm thinking of Upper Wye, Vyrnwy, other bits of the Usk. We could also do the Dee through Llangollen.
Worth a look on www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk if you've not used it before.
