Enjoy a picnic in the grounds of Warwick Castle while listening to the Proms and watching the fireworks. Bring you own chair and food. Bring warm clothes, this is an outdoor event and will take place regardless of rain or shine. There is no place to shelter so if it rains you just get wet! Tickets cost £30 but if there is enough interest we can get group discount and pay £28.00. Always a good atmosphere and the picnic can be as basic or as posh as you fancy.
A spectacular classical proms concert for the whole family, celebrating the very best of British at Warwick Castle in this amazing Royal Jubilee and Olympic year. Featuring the world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with star soloists, an aerobatic display by an original World War 2 Spitfire, choreographed to dramatic themes with split second timing, plus a very special evocative performance by the Brit Awards Nominees the’ Military Wives Choir. Rounded off with a rousing finale of flag waving favourites from the Last Night of The Proms and spectacular firework display.

Meet at 5.30pm at the top of end of Warwick ie St Nicholas Park, Lodge Drive, Castle hill roundabout. Previous years I have always managed to park in St Nicholas car park. Bring a chair, waterproofs, umbrella, picnic food. Wear warm clothing dress for outdoor weather. As most of you have your tickets, if you are late we will see you in there. Feel free to bring a flag to wave while you join in to rule Britannia.
What is the plan for Saturday evening, apart from getting wet? Are we meeting somewhere, as we don't have tickets? I need to find somewhere sensible to park so please let me know where, when we are meeting.
Thanks

Just to let everyone know, its not too late if you wish to come. I have already brought tickets for those who have said yes. If you wish to come you will have to organise your own ticket but you can buy tickets on the day, I think the cost will be £34.00 so it is best/cheaper to buy in advance.
Comment by Roger Staples on June 7, 2012 at 9:46 Hi Janet,
Can you let me know how much I owe you and how you want paying?
If you send me your bank details I'll tranfer you the money.

Comment by Janet Harris on June 1, 2012 at 23:50 Hi all
I need to start thinking about tickets soon, so let me know how many you want, whether you are bringing a friend/ partner etc
Comment by Janet Harris on May 6, 2012 at 20:48 Hi Matt,
I was going to leave it for a bit longer and then buy tickets for the group.
Comment by Matthew Booth on May 5, 2012 at 7:41 Janet,
What do we need to do about tickets? Shall we all just buy our own, or are you going to sort a group ticket? Doesn't look like we've got enough takers yet for a discount.
